Two ways to get a price
Pick whichever suits the job
Repairs and leaks move fastest from a photo. New roofs and bigger jobs need eyes on the roof first, a fixed price needs a roof check.
The photo route
- Snap it. The leak, the tiles, the gutter, whatever’s wrong, from the ground is fine.
- Send it by text or WhatsApp, with your postcode.
- Get an answer. What it looks like, what we’d do, and what happens next, in writing.
The roof-check route
- Postcode. Check we cover you, takes two seconds.
- Pick a time. Tell us the days that suit; we confirm the slot.
- We turn up and look properly. Scope and price follow in writing.
Book a roof check
Tell us where you are and when suits. We confirm your slot by phone or WhatsApp, and if the postcode’s outside our patch, we say so straight away instead of wasting your week.

How we work
Our simple three-step process
Free survey & written quote
Text a photo for a repair, or we come and look properly at anything bigger. The survey and the quote cost you nothing, and the price arrives itemised in writing: materials named, scaffold and waste included.
The work, done properly
Our own crew, qualified where it counts, working to the scope we quoted. Nothing grows once someone is up the ladder, and the site is left clean and safe at the end of every day.
Final check & handover
We walk the finished job with you and clear the site completely. On a new roof you get a 10-year workmanship warranty in writing.
How we work
We fix the small thing when the small thing is the problem
Plenty of roofs get condemned on a doorstep. Ours don’t. If three slipped tiles are the problem, the answer is three tiles, not a lecture about your whole roof being unsafe.
When a roof genuinely is at the end of its life, we’ll show you why, photos from up there, plain words, and put the options in writing so you can decide in your own time. Nobody decides on a ladder.
- Scope and price in writing before work starts
- The quote itemises what’s being done and why
- If we think a repair won’t hold, we say so before we do it
Who you are dealing with
An owner who is on the roofs
Roofing Croydon is a roofing company, not a call centre with a franchise map. The owner looks at the jobs himself, prices them himself, and knows every person who will be standing on your roof, because he took them on and works alongside them. When you ring, you get the company that is doing the work.
The crew is eight strong, and three of them are fully qualified roofers and carpenters, which is what gable ends, peaks and ornamental work actually need. The rest handle battening, membrane, tiling and leadwork, and they are the same faces from the first day of the job to the last.
That is worth spelling out, because plenty of "Croydon roofers" are a serviced office and a stock photo of a van. On a big job we sometimes bring in extra hands we know well, and one of ours always runs the job.

Our work
Straight off the crew’s phones
No staged shoots. This is what the work actually looks like mid-job and finished. More lands here as jobs wrap up.

What’s covered
Straight about what’s covered, before you pay, not after
The most common roofing fallout isn’t bad work. It’s cover people assumed they had. So here it is in a table, up front.
| Work | What it comes with | How long |
|---|---|---|
| New roof / full re-roof | Our written workmanship warranty | 10 years |
| Flat roof in EPDM or GRP | Manufacturer-backed cover on the material, plus our workmanship warranty | Per the material system |
| Repairs | A straight answer instead of paperwork: what we did, what it should hold, and anything we’d keep an eye on | , |
A repair doesn’t come with a written warranty, and we tell you that before we start, not after it rains. If a repair isn’t worth doing, we’d rather say so.
What drives the price
What actually moves a roofing quote
Size and pitch
More roof, more materials, more labour. Steep pitches slow everything down.
Material
Concrete tile, clay, slate and man-made slate all price differently, and not all of them suit every roof.
Access and scaffold
A terraced front-and-back scaffold is a different job from a tower on a bungalow.
Complexity
Valleys, hips, dormers and chimneys all add cutting, leadwork and time.
What’s underneath
Rotten battens or tired felt only show once tiles lift. We flag the risk in the quote instead of springing it on you.
Waste and skips
Strip-off waste has to go somewhere, and it’s priced in from the start.
We don’t publish ballpark figures: a number invented without seeing the roof is exactly the doorstep trick this page exists to avoid. What we will do is put a real one in writing: here’s how the quote works.

Questions
Straight answers
How do I get a price for my roof?
Ring us, or text a photo of the problem with your postcode, for most repairs that’s enough for a straight answer about what it looks like and what happens next. (WhatsApp works too if you prefer it.) For a new roof, a flat roof or anything bigger, book a roof check: we come and look properly, then the scope and price arrive in writing. Here’s exactly how quoting works.
Do you do small repairs, or only big jobs?
Small repairs are half the job sheet. If three slipped tiles are the problem, the answer is three tiles. We don’t turn a repair into a lecture about replacing your whole roof. When a roof genuinely is done, we’ll show you why and put the options in writing.
How can you tell a dodgy roofer?
Look for things you can check rather than promises. A written, itemised quote before any work starts. A price that does not grow once someone is up the ladder. A named owner and a named crew instead of a switchboard. And someone willing to say “that is a repair, not a new roof”. If a stranger knocks on your door and tells you your roof is unsafe, get a second opinion before anyone touches it.
Which areas do you cover?
Croydon and the towns around it. Across the CR postcodes that means Coulsdon, Purley, Sanderstead, Selsdon, Thornton Heath, Warlingham, Caterham and Mitcham; west into Sutton and Wallington; east to Beckenham and Orpington; and south into Worcester Park, Epsom, Redhill and Horley. Type your postcode into the checker above and you’ll get a straight yes or no.
What comes with a new roof?
A written, itemised quote first, materials named, scaffold and waste included, stage payments set out. Then the work, and a 10-year workmanship warranty on it in writing. EPDM and GRP flat roofs add the manufacturer’s cover on the material itself.
Who actually turns up to do the work?
Our own roofing team. The person who prices your job knows the people standing on your roof. On a big job we sometimes bring in extra hands we know well. One of ours always runs the job.
Can you tell what’s wrong from a photo?
For most repairs, yes: near enough to tell you what it looks like, what we’d do and what happens next. For anything structural or a possible re-roof, no honest roofer prices from a photo: a fixed price needs a roof check.
Know where you stand
Text a photo and you get a straight answer. Book a roof check and you get a written price. Either way nobody is guessing, including you.
