The calls we treat as urgent
- Water actively dripping through a ceiling or light fitting
- Tiles lifted, slipped or gone after a storm
- A ceiling stain spreading while you watch
- A gutter or valley overflowing like a waterfall in rain
- Felt flapping or visible daylight after high winds
- A leak over electrics, a fuse box or a baby’s room
Any of those, get in touch now: a leak never gets cheaper by waiting for the next storm.
What we actually do
Make it safe today, fix it properly after
An emergency visit does the job an emergency actually needs: stop the water, make the area safe, and protect what’s underneath. That might mean re-seating slipped tiles, a temporary membrane over the damage, or dressing a failed flashing so the rain runs off instead of in.
Then, once it’s dry and calm, you get the proper fix quoted in writing like any other roof repair in Croydon. We don’t price permanent work off a wet ladder in the dark, and you shouldn’t accept a price produced that way.
A leak can usually be diagnosed within a couple of hours of us getting to it. Small leaks are often dealt with the same day, honestly subject to the diary. If we can’t get to you today, we say so straight away so you can decide.
While you wait for us
- Catch the water, bucket, towels, move what’s precious
- If water is near lights or sockets, kill that circuit
- Pierce a bulging ceiling bubble with a pencil, over a bucket
- Photograph everything, useful for us, and for any claim you make
- Stay off the roof. No exceptions, especially in wind or rain
How the quote works
A straight answer, in writing
Photos first if it’s a repair; a proper look if it’s bigger. Either way the scope and the price go to you in writing, itemised, before any work starts, and the person quoting knows the crew doing it.

Straight off the crew’s phones
No staged shoots. This is what the work actually looks like mid-job and finished. More lands here as jobs wrap up.

Questions
Straight answers
Do you charge a call-out fee?
There’s a call-out charge for emergency visits, and we tell you exactly what it is when you message or call, before we set off, so you decide with the number in front of you. What we don’t do is a “cheap call-out” that gets earned back on the roof.
Can you really come today?
Often, for small leaks, and we’ll tell you honestly the moment you message. If today isn’t possible we say so and tell you what to do in the meantime, rather than promising a slot we can’t keep. That’s the whole point of us.
Is a temporary repair a rip-off?
Done right, it’s the correct first move: it stops the damage getting dearer while the permanent fix is quoted properly in writing. Done wrong, mastic over everything, no follow-up, it’s how leaks “come back”. You’ll get told which part of the work is temporary and why.
The leak stopped when the rain did. Do I still need anyone?
Yes: the hole didn’t close, the weather just paused. Send a photo now while it’s calm; a planned repair on a dry day beats an emergency in the next storm every time.
Will it cost more because it’s urgent?
The call-out charge is stated before we travel, and the repair itself gets quoted like any other job, in writing, for the scope described. Urgency changes how fast we move, not how the price behaves. If you need the damage documented for your own records, say so and we’ll put what we found in writing.
